1) Kiln dried hardwood or engineered hardwoods. We will NOT use softwoods such as pine or particleboard. Our frames are warrantied. Period. If it ever starts creaking or cracking- I will fix or replace it.
2) Our main line features commercial grade 3lb per cubic foot foam. Industry standard is 1.8lb which is less weight and will not hold its shape as long. Our discount lines such as our selection of $1200 sofas use this 1.8lb foam which is pretty good- but not the best.
